DNOW 2008 begins on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 7:00 pm, with a Youth Rally at First Baptist Church Richland and ends on Saturday, January 26th with a worship service at McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl. This years theme is "Who are you, Identity Crisis."
Cleary Baptist Church will be working in conjunction with
First Baptist Church Richland,
Star Baptist,
Briar Hill Baptist,
East Side Baptist, and
McLaurin Heights Baptist Church to host this life changing event.
"This event has the potential to change students’ lives," said Andy Mullins, Minister of Students, McLaurin Heights Baptist. "It is imperative that we all discover who God intended us to be." Shannon Shivers, Minister of Students, FBC Richland says, "This is an event to kick off the New Year. It will offer you encouragement and hope and will relieve some pressure of living life in the fast lane."
Over the course of the weekend students will be participating in various mission projects and ministry outlets. These projects include serving at Neighborhood Christian Center, Gateway Rescue Mission, Center for Pregnancy Choices, and Briarhill Nursing Home. The students will also be doing yard work, construction, food service, and last but not least the evangelism block party will take place at various locations.
The cost to sign up for DNOW 2008 is $25 for the entire weekend. This covers all events, lunch on Friday, and lunch and dinner on Saturday. Please contact any participating church office for ticket sales.
